Another miracle of the modern age. I just took this photo a few minutes ago of the wonderful thunderstorms over the hills behind Izmir, loaded it into my PC and posted it for all the world to see. Time: 5 minutes. The sun hasn't even set yet!

Gorgeous!! I love it! One of the marvelous things about Izmir is how beautiful storms are. It reminds me of Wichita, Kansas where the plains run flat for miles and you can see the storm clouds brewing and gathering over the city. I like watching the storm clouds over Izmir from my home office. It's such a nice view.
