And Turkish humour is often at the expense of women or minority groups isn't it? I don't suppose political correctness will ever work in this country! :-)
Every time I watch Mad Men and I see the world that existed in the 1960s- the general mentality- I think, "hey that's the way it is here." Not completely or not always and I really do find it exciting when Turks re-discover the wheel. As in the teacher with the earring story which I posted a week or two ago. This joke was comparatively innocuous compared to some the things I have seen on TV.
